NSPCC Number Day – Maths Breakfast (12th February 2020)
On 12th February, St Cuthbert’s supported the NSPCC by taking part in their annual ‘Number Day’. This was an opportunity to raise awareness of the charity’s fantastic work and also promote positive attitudes towards Maths. Our theme this year was ‘Times Tables Rock Stars’. The Maths Ambassadors invited all of the children to dress up as a rock star or as their favourite number. In the morning, our parents joined us for a times tables maths breakfast. It was maths-tastic! We love it when our families join us to have fun with maths.

NSPCC Number Day – Maths Breakfast (8th February 2019)
On 8th February, St Cuthbert’s supported the NSPCC by taking part in their annual ‘Number Day’. This was an opportunity to raise awareness of the charity’s fantastic work and also promote positive attitudes towards Maths.
Our theme this year was ‘Numeracy for Life’. The children were invited to dress up as what they would like to be when they grow up and we looked at how maths is used in many different jobs. We started the day with a maths breakfast and explored lots of real life maths activities with our parents. Throughout the day, lots of parents and volunteers from our school community came in to talk about how maths is used in their job. We had a visit from police officers, a chef, an accountant, our Kier quantity surveyor and many more!
It was such a fantastic day!
