What is Extended School?

Extended School is the collective term we use for the ‘out of school hours’ clubs that provide support by offering affordable childcare all year round.

These clubs include:

  • Breakfast Club
  • After School Club

Our After School Club provides a secure, happy and stimulating environment where every child is nurtured, valued and supported. In line with our school’s mission and ethos, we aim to help children develop positive attitudes, essential skills and confidence through high‑quality play and enrichment. We work closely with children, parents, carers and staff to ensure each session offers the very best care and a consistent, safe and welcoming experience.

Each day offers a varied programme of activities designed to help children relax, recharge and enjoy themselves after a busy day of learning. Our sessions include a balance of creative, active and child‑led opportunities, ensuring that every afternoon feels fresh, engaging and purposeful. Children also enjoy a healthy snack, often helping to prepare it themselves, encouraging independence and life skills.

What Our Club Offers

Our provision places strong emphasis on personal development, wellbeing, safeguarding, inclusion and high‑quality enrichment. Children can look forward to:

  • Multi‑sports and physical activity — action‑packed sessions that build fitness, teamwork and confidence
  • Movement‑based challenges — fun activities that support coordination, resilience and positive risk‑taking
  • Creative expression — opportunities to explore imagination, develop artistic skills and express individuality

Late Collection It is very important that we respect each others time and it is essential for parents / carers to collect children on time.

In the first instance, there would be an expectation that the club is notified of your anticipated late arrival. If you are then late to collect your child / children, we will advise you that it is unacceptable and will remind the collecting adult that if they are late for a second time then unfortunately, a charge of ÂĢ1 per minute will be incurred. 

If there is a reoccurrence of a late collection, the collecting adult will be informed of the number of minutes that they are late and the late fee that is expected to be paid.

The expectation is that the late fee will be paid prior to the club being accessed again. If this becomes a persistent issue, After School Club provision is likely to be withdrawn.

We are unable to accept cash payments. All payments are to be made in advance and by processing your payment via the School Gateway app will secure your booking.

After School Club requires a booking. Unfortunately, you will be charged if you do not cancel your booking 24 hours in advance of the scheduled booking.
